how do i keep my gsd puppy from jumping on everything such as my Kitchen Table, kids, guests,ect……..?
my dog is 4months old
Make sure that you are limiting space at this age. only one room at this time, until the puppy behaves, and then they graduate to more space. When they graduate to more space, watch to see if there are things that will get the puppy into trouble. For “no jumping”, I use the command “no jumping” I life the puppies legs off of me, and I dance the puppy backward, (they hate to be danced backward) When the puppy sits, I say “good girl” Puppies want to please you so let them know what behaviors you allow, and which ones you don’t, but be sure to praise the puppy when she does the right thing. If the puppy is jumping on your kids or guest, you need to have that person correct the behavior. So “no jumping”, lift the legs off, dance her backward, when she sits and behaves, say “good girl” It all takes practice and time.
